2026 Synchro Skills & Team Selections

Welcome to the registration for the 2026 Synchro Skills & Team Selections!

As part of the selection process, you will skate 3 consecutive weeks doing skills and teamwork. During this time, you will be assessed by the coaches, who will determine which team you will be most suited for. As the tryouts continue, you may be asked to attend a different training session time/day.

We strongly advise that you attend all three sessions, as this will help the coaches determine the best fit for you.

The coaches reserve the right to move skaters to different timeslots where they feel they may fit better, and may do so during the tryout process at any time.

 

New Skaters

If you have never tried synchronised skating and you want to try out, you need to have the following: 

• your own skates

• the ability to do three turns, crossovers and to be able to skate both forward and backward (roughly Advanced level in Learn to Skate)

It's okay if you've never done synchronised skating before, our skaters are all welcoming and will help you adjust to the different style of skating. You just need to turn up on the day with your skates and be prepared to give it a go!

Times for new skaters under 18yo: Saturday 7:45am to 8:30am (on ice) – Rink #2

Times for new skaters over 18yo: Wednesday 7:15pm to 8:15pm (on ice) – Rink #1

 

Test Level - no test level

Please attend this Saturday session if you currently have no pattern test levels.

Times for No Test Level: Saturday 7:00am to 8:15am (on ice) – Rink #2

 

Test Level - Preliminary test level

Please attend this Saturday session if your highest current pattern test level is Preliminary. 

Times for Preliminary test levels: Saturday 6:30am to 7:45am (on ice) – Rink #2

 

Test Level - Elementary test level

Please attend this Saturday session if your highest current pattern test level is Elementary. 

Times for Elementary test levels: Saturday 6:00am to 7:00am (on ice) – Rink #2

Times for Elementary test levels: Saturday 7:00am to 7:30am (on ice) – Rink #1

You also have the opportunity to train with the Basic Novice + levels on Monday night. We highly recommend this as well, as it will elevate your training and skills. 

If you wish to also do this, then you will need to select the Elementary Optional Monday night training session in addition. 

Times for Basic Novice +: Monday 6:45pm to 8:15pm (on ice) – Rink #1

 

Test Level - Basic Novice and Above

Please attend both the Saturday session and the Monday session if your highest current pattern test level is Basic Novice or above.

Times for Basic Novice +: Saturday 6:00am to 7:30am (on ice) – Rink #1

Times for Basic Novice +: Monday 6:45pm to 8:15pm (on ice) – Rink #1

 

Adult and Advanced Adult skaters

Please attend the Wednesday sessions if you were an Adult skater in 2025.

Times for Adult and Advanced Adult: Wednesday 7:15pm to 8:15pm (on ice) – Rink #1

You also have the opportunity to train with the Basic Novice + levels on Monday night and Saturday morning if you have a current pattern test level of Elementary or higher. 

If you wish to also do this, then you will need to select the Adult Optional Monday or Adult Optional Saturday training session in addition.
